NYC’s award-winning florist Patrick Martinez will be bringing fresh flowers to the Living Room, and demonstrating how to combine heights, colors, aromas, and textures to stage a floral still life filled with emotion, visual harmony, and inspiring contrasts. With his expert guidance, participants will have the opportunity to choose flowers and create a lovely bud vase moment to take home after the drawing/painting session.

Artists of all levels of experience can choose to draw or paint the floral still life created by Patrick or use their still-life creation to draw or paint. Living Room-NYC director and artist, Perri Neri will be there to guide anyone who needs assistance with composition and materials. We have basic drawing and acrylic painting materials on hand, but artists are encouraged to bring their own.

Patrick Martinez is the creative director and founder of City Iris, a floral design studio in New York City. Patrick’s innovative wedding designs have earned him a place in The Knot’s Hall of Fame for being the Best of New York for the past ten years. City Iris has created experiences for weddings and beauty events for great brands such as CeraVe, Charlotte Tilbury, and Chelsea Piers.
