Thomas Fucaloro and Great Weather for Workshops is thrilled to announce that June’s guest facilitator will be author and poet Thaddeus Rutkowski.

RSVP is appreciated. Limited to 12 participants.

This is a free event. Donations are welcomed. 


In this workshop, participants will write short poems or prose based on their memories and experiences, working from prompts designed to generate new material. The prompts will offer guidelines but will be wide open to interpretation. Poetry or prose formats are acceptable. Often, these exercises grow into more finished pieces after the workshop.


About Thaddeus Rutkowski

Thaddeus Rutkowski is a graduate of Cornell University and Johns Hopkins University. He is the author of eight books, most recently Safe Colors, a novel in short fiction. He is also the author of two poetry collections. His novel Haywire won the Asian American Writers’ Workshop’s members’ choice award. He teaches at Medgar Evers College and Columbia University and received a fiction writing fellowship from the New York Foundation for the Arts.
