New York, NY - September 14th, 2024 at 5 PM - Living Room - NYC is proud to host the screening of a documentary film Knox Martin: Radical Perception." This documentary explores the life and legacy of Knox Martin, one of the most influential artists of the last century. Admired by Willem de Kooning, Bob Rauschenberg, and Franz Kline, among others, Martin taught at the Art Students League of New York, Yale, and the University of Minnesota. His work is held in the world's most prestigious collections. Now represented by Hollis Taggart Gallery, this documentary reveals Martin's unique and profound perspective on the true essence of art, where ego dissolves. Filmed over 13 years by his former student, Paz, the film reexamines the artistic lineage from Titian to de Kooning, Martin's thoughts on Warhol's work, and the pursuit of a true artist.
